Almighty God, Lord of the storm and of the calm, the stormy sea and the quiet haven, of day and of night, of life and of death, – grant to us to have our hearts so focused on Your faithfulness, Your unchanging nature and love, that whatever comes upon us, however black the cloud or dark the night, with quiet faith trusting in You, we may look upon You with untroubled eye, and walking in humility towards You, and in lovingkindness towards one another, persevere through all storms and troubles of this earthly life, beseeching You that they may turn to our soul’s true good. We ask it for Your mercy’s sake, shown in Jesus Christ our Lord – Amen.
