O Lord, You have breathed into me the breath of life. You have endowed me with an immortal spirit which looks up to you and remembers it is made after Your own image. With grace and favor look upon the ardent desires of my heart, to recover a perfect likeness of You. Endow me with more content in what is present, and less anxiety about what is future. Grant me a patient mind to accept any loss or disappointed expectation. Fill me, O Lord, with the knowledge of Your will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Fill me with goodness and the fruits of righteousness. And fill me with all joy and peace in believeing You will never leave me nor forsake me. Make me complete, establish, strengthen, settle me and be my God forever and ever. Be my Guide, even unto death–Amen.
